Allynview Farm tour — visitors among grass-fed cattle in the Hunter Valley

Farm Tour — Saturday 12 September

There's a difference between reading about how your food is grown and standing in the paddock where it happens.

On Saturday 12 September, we're opening the gate.

We'll start with morning tea and a cuppa while we share our story and what brought us here in the first place.

Then we'll walk out into the paddocks. We'll talk about what has changed over the years, and dig a few holes so you can see the soil for yourself. You can feel the difference between ground that has been rested and ground that hasn't. It's one thing to hear about it. It's another to hold it in your hand.

We'll move the cattle while you're here, so you can see how they graze, how much they eat, and what they actually need from us.

Then we'll head up to our meat processing facility and talk through what we do differently there.

There'll be plenty for the kids too. Counting worms, hunting for dung beetles and getting their hands in the dirt.
